Innovations Day 2009 - an invitation to take part
A regional event to showcase innovative practice in local government and an opportunity to secure funding for innovative projects.
Innovations Day 2009 will be taking place on Wednesday 21st October 2009 and it promises to be even bigger, even better and even more fun!
Innovations Day 2009 will continue its interactive, hands on approach and once again there will also be a future focus to the event. Along with the chance to hear about innovative ideas from around the region you will also have the chance to hear about new innovative ideas… in Treasure Island.
Join in some serious conversation in the Galley Zone. You will get the opportunity to hear about the innovative work that is already taking place in the region. Here you will be able to attend roundtable discussions, ask the questions that you have always wanted to ask, and share your innovative ideas with potential partners.
Join in the voting for the idea you think would be of most value in Treasure Island. Shortlisted local authorities have the chance to win up to £50,000 of investment from Improvement East to start work on an innovative new idea that will benefit an authority. But to do this the treasure hunters have to take on the Pirate Captains and convince them that their idea is inventive, pioneering, innovative and most importantly viable! Come along to hear about the ideas for the future.
You will also have the chance to visit the Crows Nest for more informal conversations with one or two of your colleagues and the Exhibition Zone where you can browse throughout the day to learn more about projects and programmes that could be of interest to you and your authority.

The event has been subsidised by Improvement East and delegate fee for everyone who is attending or taking part is £50 plus VAT.
