Improvement East, in conjunction with CIPFA and Grant Thornton, are pleased to offer two separate improvement programmes focusing on the Managing Finances and Governing the Business themes of the UoR assessment.
The Governing the Business programme is aimed at Assistant Chief Executives, Heads of Risk Management, Chief Internal Auditors, Heads of Procurement and Commissioning, Heads of Performance and Heads of Information Technology.
The aim of day 1 is to share best practice in the area of Governing the Business. This will enable organisations to consider how they can improve their own arrangements across this theme. The day will include the following:
Introductions and discussion about individual objectives.
A comparison of self-evaluation scores across the Governing the Business theme.
Group discussion around the existing practices from across the East of England region.
Details of best practice within each Key Line of Enquiry (KLOE) of the theme. This will include, identification of case study examples and the do’s and don’ts underlying excellent performance.
The development of key actions required to deliver improvement across the theme. This will be based upon outcomes that meet the criteria for levels 3 and 4 of the evaluation of the KLOEs.
This is a two day programme - the first day being Friday 3rd July 2009 and the follow up day on Friday 17th July 2009
