Regional Social Strategy
Regional Social Strategy
The vision of the Regional Social Strategy is to achieve social inclusion throughout the East of England.
What is the Regional Social Strategy?
Launched in November 2007, the 2nd edition of this strategy sets out the objectives and means for achieving this vision. It identifies regional priorities, policies and actions to support local activity and provides a framework for tackling social exclusion in the region
Who is it for?
The Strategy is designed to help policy makers, practitioners and partnerships tackle social exclusion and achieve long-term positive change
It should be of interest to anyone who is concerned with addressing social exclusion.
How was it developed?
A multi-agency project team, drawn from the statutory, voluntary, community and private sectors developed the current strategy and action plan, building on the original document which was published in May 2004.
How will it be implemented?
A strategy implementation group, comprising the agencies contributing to the action plan, will report to EERA's Social Inclusion Panel on a six-monthly basis to ensure that progress is made against the strategy's objectives.
