Transport
The Regional Transport Strategy is set out as a chapter 7 of the East of England Plan. EERA was responsible for drafting the strategy and will be responsible for its implementation and review to 2031.
The existing transport system and scope for its improvement was an important factor in shaping the spatial aspects of the East of England Plan, which seeks to reduce dependence on car travel.
As the Regional Planning Body, EERA is also responsible for prioritising regional transport schemes and making bids to central government via the Regional Funding Allocation and Community Infrastructure Levy process. Further details are available to the right of this page.
Transport studies commissioned by EERA to inform transport policies are available from the link to the right of the page. Transport polices and progress towards completion of schemes identified in the East of England Plan is monitored in the East of England Plan Annual Monitoring Report.
