East of England Plan
EERA is the regional planning body for the East of England and has a statutory duty to prepare and implement the Regional Spatial Strategy known in this region as the East of England Plan.
This section of the website links to all areas related to EERA’s regional planning body functions including waste, transport and related studies.
EERA is working with regional partners and stakeholders to
- Monitor and implement the East of England Plan 2001 - 2021;
- Provide advice as to whether Local Development Plan Documents are in general conformity with the East of England Plan 2001 - 2021 and;
- Comment on regionally significant planning applications;
- Commission and lead a number of planning related studies to inform the East of England Plan review to 2031 evidence base
- Prepare and implement single issue reviews of the East of England Plan on Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation and Lakeside Basin
- Prepare a review of East of England Plan covering the period 2011 to 2031
